Consumers want Amazon to offer more healthcare-related services and products, including telehealth and prescription drugs, a new survey from Investing.com suggests.
For its survey, the financial portal polled 1,013 Amazon shoppers, both Prime members and non-Prime members. The survey asked respondents which products and services they would purchase under the Amazon brand.
About 37 percent of respondents said they were interested in purchasing Amazon-branded prescription drugs. This compares to about 30 percent of respondents who were interested in medical marijuana and 16 percent who said virtual physician visits.
Amazon has already debuted several private-label brands. In August, it quietly launched Basic Care, an exclusive line of 60 over-the-counter healthcare products, and in November reports surfaced that the e-commerce giant had four OTC brands
